SALES CONSULTANT - DURBAN CAMPUS - WESTVILLE

PURPOSE:

Consultants work in a challenging and competitive environment, processing all sales-related operations. Visit new and established schools for presentations and as well as maintain relationship with Teachers from our priority schools.

Ideal candidates for the role are efficient and adaptable workers with good all-round abilities, including a working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases. They must be able to work accurately with great attention to detail. They must have excellent customer service skills and be good organisers.

Communications skills are key both internal to the organization and externally with clients. It is essential that they are able to work in a team and get along with all team members, alongside and above them, in an equally supportive and affable manner.

An efficient sales consultant must meet the campus and the company targets.

Job Function : (this list is not exhaustive and provides a broad outline of the job function)
KPA’s:
• Liaising with internal (campus and company wide – staff and students) and external customers
• Managing critical deadlines for the Sales Department
• Adhere to Policies and Procedures
• Presentation

• Ensure that all sales flow processes are adhered to
• Main measurement criteria for each is on conversion – Leads to applications, Applications to Acceptances, Acceptances to Enrolments, and then Leads to Enrolment.
• Data capture all leads and follow up according to the Sales – The IHS Way flow chart.

1. Applications Processes

• Receive applications and record them on the system. (SalesForce/Application master)
• Contact applicant SAME DAY
• Set up interview & follow up outstanding documents
• Book appointment in the diary.
• 2 days before sms or telephone reminder of interview
• Conduct interview and assess suitability to the programme chosen and the industry
• If accepted, send relevant documentation and set a deadline to follow up for the deposit.
• Once the contract is received, ensure that all documentation is correct and in order, including visas and SAQA certification.

2. Traineeship

• Consultant RECRUITS the trainee, the administrator, together with the sales person maintains contact with the trainees until interview day.
• As with all applications, ensure that all documentation is received
• Applications process is followed as per the above
• Ensure that applicants are aware of the interview date and procedure.
• Applicants are contacted prior to interviews to confirm attendance.
• SMS is sent 2 days prior to remind of attendance

3. Deposits and First Payments

• When payments come in the record is to be put on ICAS and an ICAS number allocated
• Record of payment to go to Finance stating ICAS number

4. Reporting

• Payment is to be recorded on the system (currently for the July 2014 intake Applications Master – next year Sales Force) to include in the stats
• Weekly Sales and Revenue tracking and reporting
• Reports are to be accurate and completed according to deadline.

5. Marketing Initiatives

• Organising and running initiatives such as the Annual Bursary Competition and the regional finals for the Ultimate School Cook Off.
• Teacher promotions such as Cook Offs, breakfasts etc. as deemed necessary

6. Open Day

• This is a key driver in terms of sales and Consultants need to ensure that they are driving this attendance with their leads. The sales team as a whole are responsible for inviting participants, the RSVP’s and co-ordinating the even on the campus with the help of all other campus departments and staff.

Any other requirements as may be deemed necessary by the Managing Executive and/or the National Sales Manager in the interests of the company

Essential Requirements:
• Matric and at least two year's experience in a similar position
• Thorough understanding of sales principals and customer service
• Previous experience in liaising with customers at all levels - internal and external
• PC literate, with a good working knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Previous experience in setting and working with budgets
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Exceptional planning and coordinating skills
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Familiarity with required market segments
• Driver's license and own reliable vehicle (This is an inherent job requirement)
• Proven track record of working on a Sales CRM system
• Ability to multi-task and prioritise
