The Social Relief of Distress (SRD) Grant, (It used to be the R350 grant but is now commonly referred to as the R370 grant) is very important to millions of people living in South Africa. 

If you applied for the R370 grant you can check your application status online through the Sassa SRD website. This status check will let you know if your application was approved, rejected, or is still pending.

How To Track Your SRD Grant Appeal Status For April 2025

  1. Visit the Sassa Appeals Website: Go online to the official Sassa appeals site.
  2. Enter Your Information: Provide your ID number and cell phone number.
  3. Track Your Appeal: Click "Track Appeal."

There is a an organisation called the tribunal which decides on appeals. They will notify you of your appeal status electronically within 60-90 days of submission. While the tribunal's decision is final, you can challenge it in the High Court within 180 days if necessary.

R370 Sassa Grant Application Verification 

It's important to understand the R370 grant application verification process before appealing your SRD grant application rejection.

To qualify for the SRD grant in South Africa, applicants must meet the eligibility criteria.

They need to be South African citizens, residents, or special permit holders, but they shouldn't be receiving other government support in the form of UIF benefits or NSFAS bursaries. Their bank account should have less than R624 to be eligible for the SRD grant.
