Minimum requirements for the role:

• Previous experience having worked within a Logistics Co-Ordinator role responsible for shipments, import and exports functions is essential. 
• The successful candidate must be familiar with international transport documentation as well as container shipment.
• The successful candidate must be computer literate with good knowledge of and experience in Microsoft Office, outlook, is essential. 
• The successful candidate must have exceptional organizational skills and have the ability to prioritize and manage multiple transactions.
• The successful candidate must be a good team player, dedicated and flexible.
• Previous experience having worked on an ERP system: MS Dynamics / Navision or related ERP system is pref. 
• Must know incoterms within the shipping industry is essential. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Supervising loading and discharging of the companys shipments.
• Executing contracts including documentary instructions as per purchase and sales contracts.
• Forwarding instructions to related parties, appointing surveyors, following up cargo and services documents, and providing final approval for document issuance.
• Executing transactions in adherence to all laws and regulations.
• Obtaining and negotiating quotes for freight rates, with shipping lines or freight forwarders.
• Arranging bookings with carriers or freight forwarders as well as negotiating service contracts with surveyors.
• Maintaining external contact with shipping lines, agents, banks, inspection companies and third-party commodity suppliers and receivers.
• Arranging import and export clearance for all local transactions as well as inspection services with inspection agencies.
• Arranging transport and coordinating product loading.
