SENIOR MANAGER - Financial Services (logistics)

 

SA''s leading Logistics Parastatal 

 

The senior manager position is the company’s financial representative and a process owner responsible for undertaking an oversight role in ensuring the effective application of the total financial management discipline, which inter alia includes;

Adherence to Corporate Governance of financial strategic objectives, provision of comprehensive financial support to the company’s mandate/deliverables (revenue generation, EBIDA, P2P, etc.), developing and implementing best financial skills, competencies, systems and processes, implementation of financial and corporate governance strategies thereby securing the company’s financial sustainability and growth and support and align the Port’s supply chain management strategy with the finance strategy to ensure compliance to the PPM and PFMA as well as effective and efficient service delivery (turnaround time).

 

Qualifications & Experience:

Qualification as a Chartered Accountant (CA) is required;

Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in Finance field/environment of which at least 5 years must be at management level.

 

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Knowledge of relevant Labour Legislation and Tax Legislation;
  • Sound knowledge of SAP (Financial Models);
  • BCEA OSH ACT;
  • Port Financial Systems and information technology;
  • Ports Legal and Regulatory environment;
  • Microsoft Office Suite;
  • IFRS/PFMA;
  • Management Accounting principles including budgeting/forecasting;
  • Financial reconciliation;
