Assembly Process Engineers - OEM experience essential

Job Description: 

Large Automotive concern seeks to employ 3 x Assembly Engineers specifically from an OEM environment under the following disciplines:

ASSEMBLY PROCESS ENGINEER X 1

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for establishing operation standard and managing assembly process standards and documentation
  • Tracking integrated products
  • Perform new component validation and resolve related technical issues
  • Budget management: cost, with staff allocation, material costs etc.
  • Monitor material consumption related to production process
  • Regularly conduct process audits and inspections and provide feedback to the relevant departments

 

ASSEMBLY APPLICATION ENGINEER x 1

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review vehicle structure on final assembly and ensure proper matching of all parts with the body and rectify any differences
  • Responsible for the rationality of the positioning and installation of the new part / product
  • Responsible for size matching of new part / product
  • Responsible for the tooling, drawing sign-off and pre-acceptance of the development of the final assembly process
  • Continuous improvement on matching vehicle interior and exterior trim
  • Analyse matching deviations, formulate a solution for proposal, implement solutions and track improvement of the vehicle matching problem
  • Ensure that new part / product matches meet product quality standard and quality target

 

ASSEMBLY EQUIPMENT ENGINEER X 1

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the new technology, equipment and facilities for the Assembly Workshop which includes technology bidding, selection, procurement, progress tracking, installation, debugging and acceptance of delivery and final handover acceptance
  • Responsible for the existing technology equipment upgrading for the Assembly Workshop so as to meet production requirements
  • Monitor problematic technology and equipment and work to rectify problems
  • Collect and analyse equipment technical data and review equipment updating, scrapping etc.
  • Ensure complete documentation preparation, verification and endorsement

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL 3 POSITIONS:

  • Technical Qualification e.g. Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within an automotive assembly plant, with strong process experience (preferably in OEM)
  • Proficient in CATIA and CAD and MS Office
  • Willing to work overtime when necessary
