An established agricultural company based in the northern suburbs of Johannesburg is looking for an experienced Road Export Logistics Specialist with experience exporting products in BREAK BULK across border into SADC countries as well as regional movement of products. End-to-end Logistics experience is essential.

Non-Negotiable requirements:

• Candidates must live in or near the Bryanston area (20-25km radius)
• Experience moving goods cross border via ROAD (Malawi, Zambia, Botswana, Mozam and Zim)
• Local regional movement of goods by road
• Break-bulk, consolidated loads experience essential
• Some air and sea logistics
• Relevant diploma in logistics MIN. Degree highly preferred
• Candidates must have a stable career history (job changes every 2 years is not acceptable)
• Well spoken and written English
• Must be willing and able to work long hours (08h30-18h00)

Essential Experience required for consideration

• Candidates MUST come from an internal logistics department which manages the company’s logistical processes directly. Candidates from freight forwarding, external logistics companies, transporting companies or clearing houses are not suitable
• End-to-end logistical arrangements of BREAK BULK products into AFRICA via ROAD
• Road freight management (Truck configuration, truck types)
• Generating and preparing export documentation including, Phytosanitary certificates; Certificates of Origin; SADC certificate; SAD 500; PODs
• Dealing with transporters, authorities, customers, suppliers, service providers, and storage facilities

Duties involve:

• Logistical problem solving
• Communicate and build relationships with customers, transporters, suppliers, service providers, shipping agents and storage facilities
• Control of all stock and logistics and movement of grains, and other animal feed raw materials and other products from origination through to delivery
  • Products include: grains, and other animal feed raw materials and other products such as animal hygiene and health (disinfectants, animal medicines ect)
• Responsible for assisting on all documentation and systems and processes of the trade including customs and export and import requirements.
• Deal with the clients of the trading company, Port and Road transporters and authorities
