Fast Food/Restaurant Trainer


Job Description: 

A well-known Fast Food Brand is looking for suitably experienced Fast Food Store Trainers for a number of their stores in selected Western Cape areas



  • Identify and assess future and current training needs through job analysis, career paths, annual performance appraisals and consultation with line managers
  • Draw an overall or individualized training and development plan that addresses needs and expectations
  • Plan and develop appropriate knowledge and competency assessments
  • Deploy a wide variety of training methods
  • Ambassador for the online training platform
  • Conduct effective induction and orientation sessions
  • Monitor and evaluate training program’s effectiveness and success
  • Coach, assess and certify staff from Entry level up to Manager level
  • Quality Assurance of both Training and Assessments
  • Approve all certification by inspecting relevant documentation required
  • Keep accurate and updated reports on test results, assessments and training tracking sheets
  • Collate and compile various monthly training reports on interventions conducted monthly / annually
  • Complete all associated training and development documentation and reports as required
  • Management of the training programs (Skills and Unit Standard based )
  • Provide opportunities for on-going development
  • Resolve any specific problems and tailor programs as necessary
  • Compilation of regional training data and statistics
  • Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments and best practices
  • Assist with Special projects and roll outs as may be required by Operations


  • Matric/Grade 12
  • Must have own reliable car
  • Must be able to travel regularly
  • Training Tertiary Qualifications/Qualified Assessor
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience as a Fast Food Store Trainer. With training experience at multiple Fast Food stores at the same time (5 stores minimum). Previous experience with KFC, Chicken Licken, Nandos, Pizza Hut or similar is preferred
  • On line / E learning experience
  • Micros/GAAP or similar POS experience is essential
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
  • Proficiency in MS Office packages
  • Preference will be given to accredited trainers
  • Salary is dependent on experience and operational skill set
