Inventory Accountant


Job Description: 

The position reports to the Financial Manager.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Reconciliation of inventory and inventory related accounts
  • Follow up on inventory discrepancies with Retail, Supply Chain and Engineering departments
  • Manage and reporting of RFC (Request for Credit) collections
  • Performing other General Ledger account reconciliations
  • Processing of journals
  • Processing monthly accruals
  • Manage monthly Balance Sheet review process
  • Assistance with departmental budgets and budget review packs
  • Expense and cost center allocation
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts and departmental Income Statements
  • Tracking of expenditure against budget
  • Preparation of monthly stakeholder reporting packs
  • Approval of monthly and weekly payment batches
  • Facilitate and attendance of annual stock takes
  • Facilitate the Interim and Annual Audit process
  • Any other financial requirements from the Finance Manager/CFO

  • CA (SA)
  • Retail experience an advantage
  • 2 - 3 years post article experience an advantage
  • Computer proficiency pertaining to MS Office is a prerequisite, strong excel skills
  • SAGE Evolution experience an advantage
