JDE DISPATCH MANAGER (FMCG/ PERISHABLE FOODS), DURBAN. R20 000 CTC
- Minimum 5 years as dispatch supervisor and 2 as Dispatch Manager
- Degree/ Diploma Logistics and or Supply Chain
- Should have experience leading a team of people which include clerks
- Must have FMCG experience and perishable food preferable
- Leadership skills
- Strong Excel and ERP experience (JDE ADVANTAGE)
- Attention to detail and strong numeracy
- WORK 6 DAYS PER WEEK AND OVERTIME WHEN NEEDED!
Will run dispatch department and must ensure all stock accounted for at all times
The Dispatch Manager is responsible for organizing the day to day operation of the company’s dispatch department. This includes ensuring all procedures are followed as per all standard operating procedures, overseeing cash sales, damage sales, loading and offloading of trucks and other related record-keeping.
Manage and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures related to cash sales and damage sales
Loading of Trucks
Manage and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures related to loading of trucks
Manage and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures related to returns and damages
Manage the full control crate function and ensure accurate daily reporting
Assist to prepare annual budget prior to start of new financial year
Monitor and control expenses against budget and report on deviations
Ensure cost efficiency with regards to expenditure
Ensure accurate stock count after every shift
Analyze and report on variances with regards to stock counts
When necessary, ensure the production flow is agreed and signed off with production
Prepare and present monthly KPI report to senior management team
Set daily objectives for staff, ensuring full productivity and value add to the business
Manage staff performance weekly and give regular feedback, taking disciplinary action when necessary and giving recognition where it’s due.
Conduct formal performance reviews twice yearly with dispatch supervisors
Hold monthly meetings with staff
Leave planning, ensuring no leave is lost
Ensure rosters in place for team
Participate in recruitment of new employees
Attendance at inter-departmental meetings and give input related to dispatch
Ensure the dispatch area is kept clean at all times.
