An opportunity exists for an Academics/ETQA Manager to join a JSE listed Training Provider on a 6 month contract (This may be reviewed after the initial 6 months). Key duties and responsibilities associated with this role include:

• Maintain current and obtain new accreditation. (QCTO, SETA’S, Statutory Bodies i.e. DoL, DoT).
• Maintain current and project manage and or develop new course material.
• QMS (Re-design and maintain).
• Manage compliance of QMS.
• Advise the business on all latest developments and trends, and obtain/develop new QMS, Course materials, accreditations required in line with latest developments.
• Manage SETA, QCTO, DoL and DoT relationships.
• HR Management (all facets of managing a team of staff, full time or part time)
• Professional networking and active participation in professional bodies. (SETA’s professional bodies, industry stakeholders)
• Participate/contribute towards business review, strategic and business planning based on market demands/shifts

Job Requirements: 

• Matriculation certificate & tertiary degree or diploma. (ODETDP)
• Five years minimum management of staff in an education/learning/training environment.
• Proven track record in managing accredited learning solutions i.e. learnerships/qualifications and exiting learners
• Expert knowledge of the learning/training/skills landscape – SETA, CHE, DHET, SDA, Learnerships (funded and self-funded), Qualifications, Skills Programmes.
• Knowledge of new developments pertaining to QCTO etc.
• Member of professional bodies in the education field.
• Registered assessor and moderator with various SETA’s.
• Excellent IT/Computer, Administrative, and Project Management Skills.
• Excellent management of a team.
• Ability to work at executive level internally and with corporate clients externally.
