Accounting Clerk

Key Duties (but not limited to):
• Capturing of invoices and reconciliation of debtor / creditor accounts and preparing various invoice schedules and credit notes
• Attending to creditor / debtor queries
• Preparation of general ledger reconciliations
• Assisting with the preparation of budgets and forecasts
• Preparing creditor payments
• Capturing of cashbooks/credit cards
• Preparing daily cash report for the various bank accounts
• Weekly reconciliation of the bank account
• Assisting with preparation of year end pack for audit purposes.
• Capture stationery requisitions/purchases orders etc
• Compliance to applicable legislations
• General office administration
• Ad Hoc duties

Job Requirements: 

Key Requirements:
• National Senior Certificate with Mathematics and /or Accounting
• Tertiary qualification in Accounting will be advantageous

Experience:
• At least 5 years work experience in a financial environment

Competencies (Knowledge/Skills):
• Advanced Excel and reporting skills
• Knowledge of Account reconciliations
• Computer Literacy in MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Good organizational and communication skills
• Methodical and attention to detail in a high pressurised and deadline oriented environment
