Area Manager KZN

Main Purpose of the Role
To provide a professional, efficient and effective representation of the Company to support the general functioning of the operation, customer care and sales of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• All activities associated with product throughput and distribution to the customer.
• Warehouse & Stock management: Product receipt, safe storage and dispatch.
• Distribution and Fleet management: Vehicle routing, maintenance and effective delivery to the customer
• Product Returns and Expiry Date Management
• Health and Safety adherence
Human Resources:
• Accomplishes regional human resource objectives by training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees in Area Manager district; communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures
• Achieving set sales targets as described by the company objectives
• Achieves regional sales operational objectives by contributing regional sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining regional sales system improvements; implementing change.
• Oversee all customers in KwaZulu Natal as Area Manager
• Represent Pack Leader with all veterinary and retail customers in KwaZulu Natal as per Sales Representative Job Profiles
• Manage the general security and safety of the staff
• Smooth operation of General Invoicing and Credit Notes if required
• Oversee and supervise all administrative functions
• Any reasonable and lawful instruction given to you by senior management
Customer Care:
• Manage and oversee the customer care service levels in accordance with the company standards

Job Requirements: 

Qualifications / Experience
• Matric with 3-year managerial qualification or similar with experience in distribution operations and sales and marketing environments
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
• Comprehensive understanding of financial concepts (income, expenditure, balance sheets, budgets, forecasting etc)
• Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and Google Doc equivalents
• Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken
• Valid Driver’s Licence
