Design and Social Media Assistant

Our client is the premium and pioneering international natural cosmetics brand which produces effective,certified 100% natural and organic cosmetics. We are looking for a dynamic, proactive, quick-learning marketing graduate who is keen to join our small team to further entrench this iconic brand in the South African luxury Clean Beauty industry.
This is a part-time position – estimated 4 to 5 hours a day.

Brand, Communications and Promotions Support:
Design and Content Creation:
• Creation (design and production) of content and assets to support local brand campaigns, online and instore brand/ product promotions, and digital channels
• Creation of web and social assets – utilising global Media Creator, a designer or in-house.
• Blog content – utilising Global content sources or developing in-house, aligned to brand and promotional calendar

Brand and Product Images:
• Sourcing of brand and product images from the Wala Library – for social, promotions, image library updates, press etc.
• Resizing of images depending on the channel requirement
• Maintenance of Tocara4 DRH image library
Promotion Execution support
• Support on execution of promotions – includes (briefing or creation) design and production management of elements
• Design and create eye catching POS material for stores – signage, merchandising displays, brochures, pricelists and posters
• Creation of Promotional Toolkit to share with Account Managers/ and Stockists
• Promotional calendar – support on keeping it updated & accessible to all employees
• Support on ad hoc/ tactical promotions – as and when needed
• Support Marketing Manager and Stock Controller on tracking stock which should/ can be used for
promotions
• Consistent checking of promo shelves in storeroom to make sure we don’t miss things
• Support with any in-store activities or promotions (in WC)
Influencers, PR and Media
• Management of Influencer and Media database
• Support on responding to Media and Influencer requests via email and social media channels
• Assistance with compiling product content for media briefs and image sourcing (according to template)
• Support with Initiating and managing collaborations – from start to finish
• Support on conceptualizing creative Media and Influencer drops and packaging to align with marketing efforts
• Support on working with our retailers to seed product through their PR agencies to relevant influencers
• Monitoring and reporting of Media coverage and Collaborations to ensure deliverables are met

Digital/ Online:
DRH Website• Maintain and execute website content and image updates – using Word Press content management system and WooCommerce eCommerce plafform.
• Ensure content updates are aligned to overall brand look and feel
• Brief and manage web developer on web updates that require functionality changes on the back-end
• Assist with copywriting of product information & messaging – using the German website and Extranet as the main source
• Ensure most recent, up to date product images are utilized
• Activate marketing promotion codes once authorized
• Monitor website and ensure website is user-friendly
• Roll out all online promotions and update web banners monthly
• Support with customer feedback messages
• SEO and Google Adwords

Social media management:

• Social media execution and posting – against agreed strategy, campaign and promotional calendar
• Management of Falcon.io – global social media management tool and interface with global social media team on brand campaign content and calendar
• Attendance at monthly CalCall with global team
• Content creation and sourcing of images & videos, copywriting and publishing – against agreed plan
• Consistent SM marketing of products and categories based on the agreed strategy and plan – to create ongoing brand awareness and drive increased sales to specific channels
• Daily check-in on accounts to check and respond to messages
• Community management on all social channels – fielding queries, commenting, liking, sharing, and responding to reviews
• Retailer promotion content creation, cross sharing of posts/ stories etc. to amplify DRH association with their brands
• Creation of quarterly Stockists SM toolkits
• FB and Instagram shop management & maintenance
• Monthly reporting & analytics – work with Marketing Manager to evaluate insights & agree metrics to measure against specific objectives

Paid Media:

• Work with Marketing manager to develop plans for paid media channels based on set objectives, budgets and KPI’s
• Support with copy writing and scheduling of all paid media posts with thought-through CTA’s
ProductMaster Database management
• Work with Marketing Manager and Stock Controller to manage cloud-based ProductMaster system
• Create and upload new products and images
• Support on Exporting relevant supply data sheets to retailers
• Assistance with auditing Retailer online product listings to ensure imagery and content remains updated and relevant.

CRM and email marketing:

• Management of the Customer database
• Creation, design and execution of Monthly Stockists and Salons emailer – using Mailchimp
• Creation, design and execution of Customer emailers – using Mailchimp

Job Requirements: 

Required qualifications:
• Marketing graduate

Additional preferred skills/ experience:
• Graphic Design qualification or skills to create digital assets according to brand guidelines – in one or more of the Adobe graphic design software programmes
• WordPress and WooCommerce experience/ skills
