Financial Manager

Duties include:

Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff and the Managing Director while recommending further courses of action.
Advise on savings activities and provide strategies that the company should take to reduce on costs
Maintain the financial health of the organization.
Manage the preparation of the company’s budget on a monthly basis
Reviewing, monitoring and managing budgets
Producing financial reports related to budgets, account payables, account receivables, expenses etc.
Developing long-term business plans based on these reports
Liaise with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained.
Produce and provide monthly management reports
To ensure that all sales/invoicing is captured on a monthly basis before month end cut off
To follow up on outstanding payments to be collected within thirty (30) days of invoicing
To ensure that all inventory, etc are reconciled on a monthly basis before month end cut off and reports produced
To ensure that the fixed asset register is maintained and updated before month end cut off and reports produced
Ensure timely preparation of BIDS & RFQ’s as requested
Ensure timely preparation of all financial documents required for accreditation and business purposes
Educational and skills required are as follows:

Experience as a Financial Manager
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
Experience and knowledge in the use of Pastel

Type of employment: Contract (with a view to going permanent after 1 year)
