Marcus Evans, a world-leading business information company, is seeking an entry-level marketing executive to join our professional training team based in Cape Town. As one of the world-leading providers of professional business training, we deliver over 1000 training days per year globally to many of the world’s leading companies, with a training portfolio covering all regions and sectors.
In this challenging, international environment you would be responsible for exploring all marketing channels available to raise awareness of a portfolio of training courses within your given sector or territories as well as expanding our professional training brand. In addition, you will be working closely with our course development teams to further develop your given portfolio, contributing to title course development, identifying potential future trainers and pushing innovative training formats.
What is the job role?
•Planning and executing a direct marketing campaign for each event in your portfolio of approximately 50 annual training courses; primarily focussed on email marketing to our active database of prospects over a 14-week promotional cycle.
•Exploring all other marketing channels available for the promotion of our training portfolio including but not limited to social media, content marketing and online advertising.
•Outright responsibility for creating compelling marketing copy for email campaigns, event brochures and online event pages.
•Responsible for managing and responding to all inbound marketing enquiries through to close of contract. This will involve managing active pipelines of enquiries both for short term and long term revenue generation.
•Portfolio management. Working closely with the professional training director and the course development manager to provide feedback on courses in the market, interpreting the campaign performance to drive product development.
•Particular importance is attached to evaluating statistics to enhance future results, drive course development, as well as developing and growing other business lines including in-house training.

What we are looking for
•Applicants should be graduates to degree level preferably in a marketing-related discipline.
•Self motivated enthusiastic can-do people with a strong entrepreneurial spirit and drive.
•Previous marketing or sales experience particularly in a B2B environment would be considered a distinct advantage.
•Speaking French at an advanced level would enhance your application considerably as we are looking to grow our portfolio further in the French market.
