We are offering an excellent opportunity for a Technical Manager to support our operations in South Africa where we provide Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) services. Your main responsibilities will be to support the Project Manager strategy and also to enhance our relationship with all stakeholders in view of employees and customers.
Performs, manages, maintenance operations for the exterior and interior facilities including electrical, refrigeration, heating, cooling, grounds care, parking areas, and other maintenance work necessary to maintain the property in an optimum and efficient condition.
Reporting to the Project Manager, your mission will be to support the IFM functions and Managing in the daily facilities services within the project. The role of the Technical Facilities Manager is to manage the site by addressing the daily site activities relating to IFM services and support the Project Manager in all administrative processes, internal communications, including:
Profile Grade 12 and applicable Electrical trade qualification certificate.
Wireman's license will be an added advantage
Proven five (5) years' experience in Electrical and Mechanical industry.
Leadership skills and ability manage staff and sub-contractors
Strong decision making and problem solving skills
Excellent communication skills
Experience in the administration of inventories
Experience in generating reports or data capturing
Good organizational skills
Good oral and written communication skills
Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team, ability to work under pressure Good knowledge of standard software tools (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
Flexible, adaptable to changes but with strong focus on deadlines
Be sensitive and understanding towards cultural diversities
Ability to learn and acquire new skills and ideas
Must be well spoken (clear & understandable) and fluent in English.
Must be able to communicate with clients (written & oral)
Document all works order request.
Accountability for the proactive and preventative maintenance of the property within the required standards, budget requirements, capital expenditure planning and Sodexo SA policies and procedures.
Implementing and record keeping of all Technical and Facilities related preventative maintenance & re-active maintenance schedules.
HVAC preventive and re-active maintenance on a monthly basis.
Daily meter readings for water and electrical consumption, where applicable.
Daily property checks of critical assets and infrastructures.
Maintains all distribution systems for electricity (HT/LT/Transformers/ Generators), water, and mechanical etc.
Ensures timely/ monthly response to requests for services by direct report, employees, and Project management.
Schedules all work to be done on a daily basis at a minimum of inconvenience to employees and site guest.
Plans, implements, and administers an effective preventive maintenance program in accordance with good engineering practices - Asset Management service schedule, if and when needed.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Liaise with clients, suppliers and sub-contractors, if and when needed.
Plan work rotas, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results.
Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided
