Learnership Manager



The incumbent will inter alia be responsible for the following:

Business Performance and Operations
Services SETA and MICT SETA Accreditation Management: Update Material according to new qualifications and unit standards; Update, monitor and report on compliance with Pendula QMS; Tracking and filing of required site visit documentation; Requesting Site Visits and tracking new accreditation letters; monitor and report on accreditation expiry/renewal dates for various programmes and apply for extension 8 months prior to expiry; Apply for extension of scope, monitor & follow up on progress. Build relations with all relevant Seta's to ensure smooth accreditation processes. Keeping abreast with any SETA developments that may affect re-accreditation prospects. Attend Seta workshops/seminars and keep abreast with Seta's special projects and plans.

Back office operations: Upload and registration of learners at the start of programme and on completion; Arranging Assessments & moderation, tracking and reporting on progress; Providing learners with feedback on assessment; Preparing for and monitoring external verification

Compliance, Governance and Assurance
Management of Learnerships and Skills Programme Training:
Order Printed Manuals as required for training scheduled; Quality check manuals prior to releasing them to facilitators; Coordinate & schedule Trainers; Tracking and reporting on POE submissions; Reporting learner progress to clients

Customer and Client Relationship Management
Manage internal and external relations, including interface with service providers, clients, members and applicable BUs, as well as other functions responsible to ensure that business needs are met and employees are satisfied
Provide relevant and specialised support to applicable stakeholders Establish and maintain relations with stakeholders to ensure optimal efficiency.

Functional Excellence
• Adhere to functional policies, standards, guidelines, procedures, end-
to-end processes, tools, templates etc.
• Assist in standardising, simplifying and speeding-up of functional
processes and eliminate duplication/ bureaucracy
• Apply functional best practices and promote sharing of best
• Assist in the execution of functional excellence initiatives.
Functional Management • Governance: Ensure the function adheres to Company governance,
policies, standards, statutory and legal compliance. Entrench a culture
of discipline.
People Management
• Performance management: Adhere to performance management procedures
• Pendula culture/functional climate: Uphold the Pendula culture and values within the function. Foster effective teamwork and unity.
Safe and Healthy Work Environment
• Maintain and ensure a healthy environment and safe operations
practices. Ensure compliance with all applicable policies and
procedures in line with set standards
• Encourage a culture that focuses on safety in all operations.

Job Requirements: 

• Grade 12: Essential
• Qualified SDF or OTETDP Qualification will be a value add
• Computer Literacy Essential
• Drivers Licence – Essential

Relevant SETA exposure in both SDF and Accreditation, SDF experience across all SETA’s, Understanding of accreditation Process of the relevant SETA, Implementation of Learnerships, Implementation of the QMS, Understanding of the Unfunded Application with the SETA’s, Understanding of the Moderation Process
