Project Coordinator: Disability, International Leadership Development Programme & Retail Management Development Programme

The Wholesale and Retail Sector for Education and Training Authority (W&RSETA) seeks to employ a Projects Coordinator on a fixed term until 31 July 2020, who will report directly to the Disability Specialist and will be based at the W&RSETA Head Office in Centurion.

Key Performance Areas will include but not be limited to the following:
 Provide project co-ordination between allocated projects within the Unit
 Ensure stakeholder participation to ILDP and RMDP projects
 Provide advisory services on various issues of skills development
 Perform other functions as required by the Unit:
 Assist with performing Assessments for Assistive Devices for learners with Disabilities
 Perform Accessibility Audits at training sites and host sites
 Ensure the correct devices are procured and distributed accordingly
 Schedule and perform monitoring duties of all projects of the Unit
 Collate, summarise, package and distribute information from the other Business Units
 Ensure that all information received is collated and analysed for projects feedback and reporting
 Manage and maintain the Unit’s learner information by updating the electronic database of the Unit (Benefit Templates & Indicium System)
 Schedule and coordinate events and workshops
 Prepare travel arrangements and Requests for Procurement (RFPs) and ensure compliance to SCM and Finance processes at all times
 Ensure that the Unit has sufficient stationery stock levels and implement controls
 Supervise the preparation of and avail the documentation for audits
 Perform other functions as required by the Unit
 Capacitate relevant stakeholders on SETA regulations and processes
 Serve as a principal administrative liaison for projects in the Unit
 Represent the Manager and the Unit as and when required
 Attend and respond to stakeholder needs and requirements
 Maintain stakeholder partnerships
 Implement and maintain the relevant management systems and optimize controls and processes
 Prepare and submit reports to the Line Manager on project progress at required frequencies
 Implement a systematic and structured filing system (both electronically and manually)
 Overall supervision of the administration work within the Unit
 Guide and advise the team within the Unit

Job Requirements: 

Minimum Qualifications and Experience
 Bachelor’s Degree in Management Sciences / Commerce or equivalent
 Project management Certificate
 3 years’ experience in project management
 Proven experience in project management, monitoring and reporting

 Knowledge and practical understanding of skills development and the applicable legislation to the SETA
 Knowledge and understanding of the wholesale and retail sector
 Experience of working in a similar position within the SETA environment will be an added advantage
 Computer literacy (MS Excel, Ms Word)
