Project Manager

Job Summary

Manage Building, Upgrade and Maintenance projects to facilities in the East Rand area.

Key Performance Areas/Key Result Areas

a) Manage staff and contractors on project site(s).

b) Liaise with professional consultants.

c) Meet Statutory/Council Building Compliance Requirements.

d) Maintain strict OHS Act compliance.

e) Maintain building plans/records.

f) Maintain budgetary compliance.

g) Adhere strictly to corporate procurement procedures.

Required Qualifications

a) Recognised Project Management Diploma (or Degree).

b) Working Knowledge of the OHS Act and its compliance in the building/construction environment.

Desirable Qualifications

a) Recognised Trade Qualifications in one or preferably more of the following disciplines:

(i) Plumbing.

(ii) Electrical.

(iii) Construction.

Required Experience

a) Minimum 10 years Project Management experience in the Facilities or Construction environments.

Desirable Experience

a) ­­­­­Minimum 5 years Quality Management experience in the building/construction industries.

b) Proven experience in Quantity Surveying.

Required Knowledge and Skills

a) Proficiency in MSOffice: especially MSWord, MSExcel and MSPowerPoint.

b) Proficiency in a recognised Project Management tool or software package.

c) Proven Quantity Surveying skills.

d) Good Inter-Personal skills.

e) Good Conflict Management skills.

f) Excellent Listening skills.

g) Good Written and Reporting skills.

h) Excellent Time Management skills.

i) Proven Administrative skills.
