Recruitment and Selection Specialist - 12 Months Fixed Term

The Wholesale and Retail Sector for Education and Training Authority (W&RSETA) seeks to employ a Recruitment and Selection Specialist, who will report directly to the Executive Manager: Human Resources and be based at the SETA’s Head Office in Centurion.

Key Performance Areas will include but not limited to the following;

 Develop and manage the Workforce Plan in line with the Employment Equity Plan
 Partner with Managers to identify the recruitment needs and develop a recruitment plan
 Manage the application and implementation of the recruitment process across the business
 Develop job specifications/adverts and advertise vacancies in line with the recruitment policy
 Align the filling of positions with the Employment Equity Plan targets
 Perform personnel suitability/background checks on recommended candidates
 Ensure consistency in the recruitment and selection process
 Coordinate and administer relevant assessment tools for the applicable jobs
 Manage the internal movement and reassignment of resources to meet business requirements
 Establish and maintain the recruitment database
 Manage the recruitment turnaround times
 Conduct exit interviews and compile management reports on exit trends
 Coordinate induction and orientation of new employees
 Assist with the administration of the recruitment budget and monitor expenditure
 Provide input for HR reports
 Support and assist members within the HR team
 Establish and maintain working relationships with stakeholders
 Partner with and manage external vendor relationships
 Communicate and educate the business on the Recruitment and Selection Policy
 Ensure adherence to the Recruitment and Selection Policy and other applicable HR policies
 Assist with the review of the Recruitment and Selection Policy and procedures
 Manage recruitment and selection records in line with the policy

Job Requirements: 

Minimum Qualification and Experience:
 Matric / Grade 12 National Certificate;
 Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management / Industrial Psychology / Behavioural Sciences
 3 years’ experience in recruitment and selection
 2 years’ experience at a supervisory or team leader position
 Proficiency in MS Office at intermediate level
 Experience and proficiency in working with an online recruitment system
 Own transport and a valid Driver’s License

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Attributes:
 Knowledge of legislation governing HR (i.e. BCEA, LRA, SDA, EEA, SDLA, etc.)
 Excellent analytical
 Good presentation and facilitation
 Good report writing
 Good interpersonal and communication
 Strong influencing and problem solving
 Excellent interpersonal and communication
 Ability to plan, coordinate and execute projects
 Ability to work independently without supervision
 Integrity and confidentiality
 Willingness and ability to travel
 Willingness to work overtime
