Senior Inspector:Mpumalanga Province- Nelspruit based

Compile of operational and administrative plans for the Interventions Unit in line with strategic objectives of the Authority ● Manage expenditure of the inspectorate unit in conjunction with Regional Managers ●Liaise with the Prosecutor in respect of any dockets returned to Law Enforcement Department for further investigation / corrections and monitor progress thereof ●Monitor quantity of dockets submitted by each inspector on a regular basis and address poor performance ● Conduct routine operations to ensure compliance in terms of the Act & Regulations ● Obtain evidence and the compile the docket which includes statements and charge sheets in respect of security service providers not complying with the statutory Code of Conduct ●Investigate unregistered security service providers and testify in criminal court trials in respect thereof ●Testify in Improper Conduct Enquiries against security service providers contravening the Code of Conduct Regulations ● Address telephonic and written enquiries in respect of the Act and Regulations as well as enquiries following on from inspections and investigations ●Liaise with SAPS and state prosecutor in respect of criminal matters reported against security service providers ●Serve Improper Conduct charge sheets and summonses ●Serve Improper conduct confirmation and collection fines imposed● Liaise with the Authority’s Account Administrators and collect annual fees outstanding ● Act as peace officer ● Act as commissioner of oath ●Supervise Inspectors under his/her control to ensure all inspectors are productively utilized to ensure proper regulation in his/her area of responsibility ● Provide effective control over regulatory performance in his/her area of responsibility including proper planning of regulatory focus to ensure the minimum Authority and financial and other resources are used to achieve objectives ●Identify training needs of inspectors under his/her control and address shortcomings ●Identify and arrange industry and stakeholder workshops ●Review and check financial claims of inspectors under his/her control and make recommendations in respect thereof ●Conduct performance management reviews.

Job Requirements: 

Requirements: National Diploma / Degree in Criminal Justice and Forensic investigation, Policing, coupled with 5 - 7 years’ experience in security environment which at least 3 years in supervisory level ●Valid driver’s licence
