Sourcing / Sales Assistant

The successful incumbent to this position will be responsible for:
• Dealing with customer enquiries;
• Assist the Manager by overseeing client accounts and providing assistance, information and options as needed;
• Sourcing of promotional products and corporate gifts as per client specification;
• Daily follow up on all outstanding work;
• Attending to emails and noting key information or updates and provide responses as needed;
• Follow-up on product completion and liaise with clients to obtain approval within the relevant timeframes;
• Continuous liaison with relevant teams / stakeholders to ensure project timelines are on track in order for client orders to meet their deadlines;
• Generate quotations, job cards and prepare the pack as per the required format/checklist;
• Ensure that the relevant information has been loaded onto the accounting system as soon as the order has come in;
• Attend to all administrative tasks within the required timeframes including supplier PO’s and customer PO’s;
• General office administration (copying, scanning, filing, etc.);

Job Requirements: 

An opportunity exists for a methodical administrator and sourcing specialist with exposure in branding and sourcing of promotional products and corporate gifts, who is service driven. The main purpose of this role is to source products, generate quotes and place orders. Focusing on "getting it right first time" in order to ensure that correct and precise information is relayed to customers, your excellent administrative ability, sourcing skills and superior level of customer service will secure you this position.

Requirements essential to this position:
• Grade 12 / Matric certificate;
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in an a similar role or environment focusing on branding and sourcing of promotional products and corporate gifts;
• Excellent interpersonal and customer relationship skills in a target driven environment and ability to liaise on all levels;
• Computer literacy – Excel (Intermediate to Advanced level), Word, Outlook, PowerPoint (Basic) Internet Explorer (Ability to use search engines and be internet savvy);
• Basic financial acumen;
• Excellent organizational and administrative skills and ability to multi-task;
• Attention to detail and accuracy and must be methodical;
• Ability to take initiative and work unsupervised;
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure and ability to work overtime when operationally required;
• Proficiency in English written and spoken;
• Good team player;
• Drivers licence – Code B;
• Must be proactive, forward thinking person with an enquiring mind;
