Minimum Standard 8. (Grade 10)
Knowledge/ Experience of engineering tools, equipment and machinery (Recommendation).
Bilingual. (English plus Afrikaans or isiXhosa.)
Computer Literate. (MS Office: Excel and Word)
Basic Numeracy and Literacy.
Valid Driver’s Licence.
Issuing and collecting tools from learners.
Monitor conditions of tools and equipment and report defects.
Keep tool register up to date.
Organise tool store.
Monitor training equipment in the workshop.
Issue consumables to learners.
Control flammable stock in workshop.
Set-out workstations with tools and equipment.
Monitor that learners do not misuse tools and equipment.
Advise lecturers to requisition consumables.
Ensure that workstations are tidy.
Mop/sweep working areas as required.
Lubricate/maintain machines and equipment.
