AP (Accounts Payable) Coordinator

We have a vacancy in our Finance Team for an Accounts Payable Coordinator, reporting directly to the AP and Fund Manager. This role will be responsible for:

  • Providing timely and accurate recording of Accounts Payable (A/P) transactions for KFC and Pizza Hut Africa and complying with financial policies & standard operating procedures.
  • Ensuring all creditors reconciliations are completed periodically on a timely basis, queries thereon are resolved, and relevant authorizations obtained in line with the company’s Schedule of Authority and related policies.
  • Ensuring all supplier invoices (Restaurant Support Centre & Restaurant) are processed and paid in accordance with payment terms

Key Requirements for the Role:

  • Full AP function for KFC & Pizza Hut – processing, reconciliation, authorisation of supplier invoices and “Travel & Entertainment claims”, to ensure prompt payments according to payment terms by using financial and banking systems - 60%
  • Take responsibility for continuous improvements of Accounts Payable processes (automation, electronic data interfaces, reconciliation, cost allocations, procurement system) - 10%
  • Ensure good relationship with external (Suppliers) and internal (RSC departments & Restaurant Management) parties - 10%
  • Ensure implementation and compliance of policies and procedures - 10%
  • Manage account analysis, reconciliation and problem solving of the Payables processes - 10%

Job requirements: 

Qualifications:

  • A completed qualification in Finance/Accounting (Diploma or Degree)

Experience:

  • 1 to 3 years’ experience in Accounts Payable / Similar Finance function
  • JD Edwards Oracle experience preferred
  • Previous evidence of working relationships with suppliers and large volumes of data

Competencies/Skills:

  • Ability to address Senior Level Management with concise information
  • Strong AP transaction experience required
  • Strong interpersonal skills;
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills
  • Customer passion
  • Result Oriented
  • Strong computer literacy skills (Microsoft Office)
