Commercial Analyst

ROLE PURPOSE:

This is a Business Partnering role and as part of the UK & IE commercial team will be required to have in-depth product knowledge and to develop first class forecasting systems and improve Working Capital Management.

LOCATION: UK - Maidenhead

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Business Facing role providing key support to the Head of Finance
  • Responsible for forecasting and budgeting for the UK & Ireland
  • Provide commercial insight into product performance
  • Lead monthly forecasting process and improve forecast accuracy
  • Ensure margin integrity in forecasts
  • Work with commercial Analyst and LSP to ensure reduced aged debt
  • Work closely with Supply Chain team in Dublin to ensure effective stock management
  • Understand key product lines and make recommendations for safety stock levels
  • Develop reports to monitor and Improve working capital
  • Use IMS data to track and monitor sales performance in Secondary Care
  • Develop Dashboards to report IMS data to field force
  • Competitor Analysis and reporting to senior management
  • Involvement in Tender submissions to the NHS
  • Work with Commercial management team to develop incentive plan for field force
  • Maintain management system TM1 and update budgets and forecasts
  • Develop monthly management information packs and commentary
  • Exception reports
  • 5 Year Plan
  • Assist Head of Finance with Operating Expense Forecast
  • Adhoc requests
  • Deputise for the Finance Head as and when required

Job requirements: 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Educated to degree level
  • Studying towards professional finance qualification preferred –
  • High level Excel
  • Commercial mindset
  • Effective communication skills
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently and demonstrate pro-activity
  • Can deal with ambiguity
  • Have an organised, methodical approach to work
  • 6 years experience Pharmaceutical/FMCG experience an advantage but not required
