HR Manager III

Job Summary:
Partner with the business to ensure operational effectiveness and optimal management of the human capital in the business focusing both locally and internationally. Delivery on overall compliance and provide functional leadership to the HR community

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables:
Effective Capacity Planning and Employment
• Review Recruitment Procedures and provide feedback for improvement
• Analyse and determine capacity requirements and align these across all regions
• Facilitate recruitment of all positions within designated area across regions according to Central HR Policy and standards
• Monitor placement times
• Monitor quality of recruits
• Ensure compilation of EE Plans and achievements

Effective business partnerships
• Actively build relationships (Up to C-Level) and network with business team and line management (including internal and external stakeholder) to gain a thorough understanding of operational impacts on the business through communicating appropriately and proactively providing solutions to address business needs relating to people
• Work to align HR objectives with business objectives and strategy (two-way alignment in terms of purpose and direction
• Create an annual HR plan in conjunction with HR Execuitive based on the stated purpose and direction of the department that focuses on all regions
• Identify existing or potential problem areas and advise management team on how they can use HR processes to make improvements

Effective Organisational Development
• Assist with the identification of potential in conjunction with Line Management across all regions
• Facilitate Career Pathing and ensure these are aligned across all regions
• Facilitate TNA according to Group L&D requirements
• Compile a Training Plan for area of responsibility
• Ensure staff training needs are addressed by Line Management
• Deliver training as per business requirements
• Feedback to Central L&D on training provided
• Facilitate Organisational Development initiatives and integrate this across all regions

Effective Management of Employee Relations
• Ensure knowledge of and adherence to ER Procedures, Policies and Legislation
• Facilitation and involvement in i.t.o ER and Performance Matters
• Ensure consistency of standards in the application of ER matters
• Facilitate Company Climate Surveys
• Ensure employment contracts compliance to legal requirements in the Technology department across all regions
• Facilitate and ensure satisfactory conflict resolution
• Ensure effective communication processed in all directions
• Facilitate a healthy working environment

Effective Leadership
• Monitor performance and take appropriate action
• Motivate, mentor and coach
• Set objective and timeframes and agree on delivery
• Provide regular feedback
• Create an environment conducive to development and learning
• Create a climate in which conflict is openly discussed and resolved
• Ensure that HR delivery is in line with Company Policy and Procedure
• Facilitate change and business interventions ensuring integration across designated area
• Represent the business at the CCMA

HR Project management
• Identify, plan, manage and implement ad hoc projects (largely based on department’s initiatives)
• International development projects
• Update organisational design in consultation with department and ensure these align across all regions
• Analyse and interpret information to report and present to the Group, Business

Job requirements: 

Minimum Qualifications:

Relevant Degree at NQF level 7

Minimum Experience:

8-12 years generalist experience covering the broad area of the job, preferably in a Technology & IT related industry or department

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labour relations and negotiation, and personnel information systems;
Knowledge of BCEA, LRA;
Strong Interpersonal relationship building at C-Level and employee coaching skills;
Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment;
Must include knowledge of Excel and skills in Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS);
Written and spoken communication skills;
Knowledge of Organisational Design principles;
Ability to work in highly complex environment.
