IR Administartor

To provide administrative employee relations support to the ER department to ensure all IR/ER functions are diligently managed.

Job requirements: 

Minimum Qualifications: Relevant Diploma at NQF level 5
Minimum Experience: 2 - 3 years’ experience in employee/industrial relations administration

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables:
Labour Relations and Employee Relations
 Schedule disciplinary enquires via LabourNet
 Ensure that all details surrounding the logistics of disciplinary enquiries have been properly communicated and confirmed with relevant parties
 Keep record of all disciplinary enquires, poor work performance and grievances which were conducted externally and internally
 Manage administrative requirements regarding incident management and strike action
Effective administration, data management and reporting
 Collect and collate statistics from the business units regarding their union membership details and consolidate information into a report

 Collect and collate statistics from the business units regarding their CCMA matters and consolidate the
information into a report
 Ensure that monthly IR reports are compiled and timeously submitted to the ER Manager:
o Top 6 Misconducts
o Top 6 dismissals
o Top 6 Business units with the highest disciplinary hearings
o Region with the highest disciplinary hearings
 Ensure that the IR system is managed effectively and efficiently
Effective stakeholder management
 Respond to queries in a professional and timeous manner and escalate to relevant parties when
 Build effective relationships with all stakeholders
 Maintain confidentiality in all dealings with stakeholders
 Deliver on service expectations with internal and external stakeholders in order to ensure that
expectations are managed
 Maintain credibility of the department by providing a professional interface for internal and external
Effective teamwork and self-management
 Proactively develop own skills and knowledge of relevant best practice and ensure appropriate skills and
knowledge transfer
 Actively and consistently maintain high standards of professionalism in all aspects of personal
presentation and delivery
