Laboratory Analyst - Contract

Purpose: 

To analyze raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, stability samples, components and special requests by applying scientific principles and techniques and adhering to QMS, GLP and SHE regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform analysis using appropriate equipment and related techniques
  • Evaluate analytical methods for new specification/products
  • Analyze non-routine/special request investigations
  • Communicate deviations
  • Provide detail observations from the analysis of data and interpretation of results
  • Check the availability of all consumables before analysis
  • Initiate requests for reagents and standards
  • Prepare and perform QC assessment of reagents
  • Check expiry date at time of use
  • Ensure that all system suitability requirements are met
  • Perform quality control review of data
  • Enter and control data according to GMP/GLP
  • Perform analytical investigations according to SOP, on out of specification (OOS) results
  • Compare results to specifications
  • Maintain standard forms, analyst notebooks logbooks and electronic laboratory records
  • Provide compiled reports for method validations and method transfer testing
  • Completion of documents for data packs, including review of methods of analysis and validation reports
  • Conduct literature searches

Job requirements: 

Requirements:

  • National Diploma in Analytical Chemistry/BSc in Chemistry and/or equivalent
  • At least 2 years Laboratory Experience
  • Computer literate – MS office (MS Word and Excel)
  • A comprehensive knowledge and experience in using laboratory techniques, which include HPLC, GC, UV/VIS, IR Spectroscopy and wet Chemical Analysis, will be an advantage
