Sales Consultant

Job Summary:

To ensure exposure, increased sales and achievement of targets by representing the company and its brands to the trade at an-in-store level and growing the customer base within the region/area.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables:

In-store sales and marketing

  • Based on cold calling, visiting stores to negotiate orders and sell products to the store
  • Develop relationship with store manager
  • Place accurate orders with call centre
  • Negotiate forward share

Effective administration

  • Compile weekly and monthly reports based on customer liaison and sales
  • Identify challenges and corrective actions
  • Ensure account forms are completed and delivered

Effective collage management

  • Administer and complete according to requirements

Customer satisfaction and service

  • Gather feedback from customer complaints, queries and requests and ensure resolution
  • Monitor order and delivery day
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships

 Effective self-management

  • Follow through to ensure that personal quality and productivity standards are consistently and accurately maintained
  • Demonstrate consistent application of internal procedures
  • Plan and prioritise, demonstrating abilities to manage competing demands
  • Demonstrate abilities to anticipate and manage change
  • Demonstrate flexibility in balancing achievement of own objectives with abilities to understand and respond to organisational needs

Job requirements: 

Minimum Qualifications:                            

Relevant Diploma at NQF level 5

Drivers’ Licence with own vehicle

Minimum Experience:                                 

2-3 years’ experience in sales

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:                    

Sales and Marketing knowledge

Customer Service Skills

Effective administration and communication skills

Computer Literacy – MS Office
