A Wholesale and Retail establishment based in Mitchells Plain is seeking an Administrative Clerk to join their organisation.

 

Purpose of the position: 

To provide the processing and administrative support for the relevant departments mainly in the areas of purchase orders and supplier deals.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Request updated price list from Suppliers and keep organised file
  • Capture supplier list prices and deals on Arch
  • Prepare and keep electronic copies of supplier order sheets and distribute to relevant departments on a weekly basis
  • Collect suggested orders and short lists from various departments
  • Capture signed orders on Purchase order module on Arch and have it authorised by the Directors
  • Ensure that authorised purchase orders are sent to and received by Suppliers timeously 
  • Keep record of order and delivery dates
  • Follow up on outstanding orders and keep Managers appraised
  • Keep creditors details updated on Arch
  • Complete progress report on a daily basis
  • Prepare and capture Customer quotations
  • Perform additional duties as per Management's requests
  • Liaise with the various departments (Warehouse and Other) to develop solutions tha best suit the companies needs
  • Note: Duties may change from time to time depending on the needs of the department
