Business Development Manager: Enterprise Development (for Construction Industry and Public Sector)








 To oversee the identification and development of strategic business relationships with various stakeholders and implement business development initiatives that maximize SABSs footprint and revenue growth.


  • Develop and execute strategic business plans to achieve revenue and profitability targets
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual forecasts and reports on market performance
  • Develop and conduct business reviews, proposals and presentations as required
  • Actively participate in trade and industry conventions, meetings. workshops, exhibitions, etc. to promote the SABS business
  • Provide guidance and direction to business to position itself with key industry players and audiences
    Develop and maintain a robust deal pipeline toward targeted entities to continuously grow the business and generate sales

  • Develop processes and schedules to deliver quality services
  • Achieve and manage set targets as agreed
  • Conduct any adhoc duties as required by management

Customer/ Stakeholder

     Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop bespoke campaigns for relevant business prospects
  • Build and actively manage relationships with all relevant internal and external stakeholders to maximize networking opportunities
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and decision makers (i.e. CFOs, Directors, Group Executives, etc.) to improve brand engagements and develop long terms strategic relationships


  •  Develop strategies to identify and explore business opportunities with potential customers at all stages of the sales cycle (incl. targeting, prospecting, presentations, etc.)
    Manage large scale, complex contract negotiations and finalisation
  • Develop targeted long-term new business strategies to encompass regional and international suppliers and foster growth in these key areas
  • Develop plans to ensure annual revenue growth of existing customers and new market accounts.

 Competent and empowered employees

  •  Provide coaching to business (i.e. managers, auditors, etc.) to improve penetration levels and sales techniques
  • Ensure that all employees within scope of control are properly trained and developed including mentorship and coaching of employees
  • Manage performance of all direct reports as is relevant for the Business Unit
