The above mentioned temporary vacancy has arisen, the successful job incumbent will report directly to the Purchasing Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following activities:
To place timeous orders via purchasing reports with established policies and regulations to ensure the Wipers and Friction value stream is supported and able to meet delivery targets for both OE and aftermarket.
Manage the suppliers via updated order books ensuring that the supplier does not default thus ensuring no component issues or stock outs. Resolves problems and issues arising from purchases of services and or supplies
To reduce stock holding by placing timeous orders, managing suppliers order books and reducing MOQs without affecting delivery performance or production
Analyses production requirements and manages purchases to support 100% delivery performance
Maintains a filing system for all orders, reports and supplier correspondence.
General 5S standards are maintained.
