The HR Head is responsible for working with the Leaders of the AMA Regional team, as a HR business partner, ensure that HR Support, Services and processes are in line with the respective teams requirements. This position is part of the HR Leadership Team for AMA (Asia, Middle East & Africa). Reporting to VP HR AMA, he/she will have 2-3 direct reports working with him/her.
Key Responsibilities & Knowledge
Strategic & Organizational Consulting:
Proactive consultation and execution on people matters including the coaching of leaders as required; providing leading edge thinking in the translation of business strategy into HR strategy and planning.
Define and solves for organizational requirements to execute that strategy and plan, including organizational design and effectiveness.
Leadership Acquisition, Key Talent Development & Retention:
Define processes and experiences that grow the capacity of the organization's key people resources which include talent planning, development and recruitment.
Encourage building bench strength through diversity and inclusion.
Define retention strategies focusing on crucible roles and on key leaders/individuals with core competencies or skills critical to the organization.
Optimize the value of the LS & Co compensation, reward and recognition programs.
Monitor trends in the external labor market.
Assess and select talent at the leadership level.
Lead change management efforts to move the organization through change.
Provide guidance/counsel on the people decisions and actions resulting from change initiatives.
Define strategic workforce plan and partner with COE/Shared Services for delivery.
Proactively utilize data to define workforce planning data.
Drive scale & efficiency:
Be a champion of the HR model and be accountable to the business for all elements of HR.
Work closely with peers and all areas of HR to present a seamless front to the business while ensuring service levels and outcomes from other HR partners.
With guidance from the annual employee survey, partners with business to identify strategies to increase productivity, employee performance, and employee engagement.
Ensure formation of metrics to track the effectiveness of these initiatives.
Ensure actions are driving desired results.
Define opportunities to maintain positive employee environment through effective communication, policies and practices.
Drive a high performance culture:
Partnering with business leaders to ensure goal setting, performance reviews and improvement plans are timely and tied to business results.
Drive alignment across the matrix.
Accountable for the success of key programs & projects.
Ensure successful rollout of HR programs within the business succession management, talent assessment, performance management, etc.
Partner extensively and drive accountability with HR Services and COE teams to ensure effective development and implementation of programs, practices and processes to drive business performance and meet business needs.
Also be accountable to adhere to processes and policies.
Capability Building / Learning & Development:
In partnership with AMA Regional team, lead and develop L&D plans to facilitate the capability development of retail operations and front line staff to drive business performance in the region, optimize retail operational efficiency and enhance customer experience.
Good Bachelors Degree. MBA in HR preferred.
Minimum 15 years of experience in a broad HR Generalist role with experience in at least one other HR discipline expertise. Experience in Learning/Training Facilitation/Capability Enhancement an advantage.
Prior HR experience gained from a FMCG/Consumer/Retail/Apparel MNC at the corporate/regional level.
Strong stakeholder management and business partnership skills. Should have had one significant stint as the Leader of the HR function for a company or business. Should have accomplished experience leading and developing HR team.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite;
Awareness/experience with Talent Management tool kit; Change Management theory/frameworks; Organizational design; Strong in data analytics
Has had experience navigating ER situations at the leadership level, exposure to global ER/works council preferred. PHR or SPHR certification a plus.
