The IT Project Assurance Specialist is part of the Mr Price Group Internal Audit team. The core objective of this dynamic role is for supporting and providing assurance over Programmes and Projects in line with agreed audit and project management standards, frameworks and methodologies across the group. This includes assisting with the development and questioning of programme and project decisions, changes and documentation applied by Programme and Project Teams.

 

You would be part of our IT Internal Audit team reporting to the IT Audit Manager, your responsibilities include: 

  • Plan, organise and perform IT Project Assurance audits covering governance, project management, solution, testing and implementation utilising a recognised framework
  • Provide business, stakeholders, users and supplier assurance on selected projects and programmes across the group
  • Documenting Project Assurance working paper and reports
  • Ensure stakeholders buy into assurance report observations and recommendations, with the ability to challenge at all levels
  • Assess that the project remains aligned with the corporate or programme strategy and the solution continues to provide value to the business while meeting user expectations
  • Management of internal resources and 3rd parties to support delivery as needed
  • Refine and enhance project assurance framework and service offering
  • Managing quality, monitoring and enforcing audit standards. Keeping abreast of developments in the profession as a whole
  • Liaise with business Executives
  • Mentors others on project assurance activities
  • Input into the evaluation of staff performance, resolving conflict and addressing issues
