A Safari Lodge based in North West Province (Zeerust Region) is looking to employ a Junior Sous Chef
You will be responsible in assisting with the planning and directing food preparation in the kitchen. This will involve in assisting and keeping an eye out for issues that might arise in the kitchen and taking control of the situation.
- Assisting in the operation of all administrative duties in the
- Kitchen department whilst the Executive chef is away;
- This includes ordering of stock, menus, emails, invoicing as well as staff
- Assisting in management in line with the code of conduct and disciplinary code;
- Assisting with the preparation and portioning food, monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation;
- Assisting in check the cleanliness and operation of all kitchen equipment as well as all areas before production runs. Need to comply with OHSA regulations;
- Assisting in reviewing work procedures and operational problems.
