Regional Manager: Acquiring (Merchant Services)

Achieve Annual targets 

  • Loans and advances targets across all product areas
  • Achieving relevant ROEs
  • Expense management

Clients Retention 

  • Grow and manage the existing client base through performing a needs analysis of client current product usage and finding opportunities to offer diversified products, upselling and cross selling different options that add value to the client

Acquisition New clients

  • Provide specialist advice to potential clients on merchant services solutions through financial analysis of their current situation.
  • Formulating acquisition strategy
  • Correctly anticipating and interpreting the clients business requirements to provide relevant timeous solutions (research the clients business in order to be prepared and add value to the solutions provided).
  • Continuous face to face and telephonic interaction with the top 20 clients in order to pre-empt, review and proactively address their needs
  • Drive new business through utilizing avenues through team networks with other Group companies
  • Ability to understand and advise on financial and tax concepts ensuring that the products that are offered optimize the company tax and funding structures
  • Proactively manage the process for clients, checking, submitting and motivating the business case for approval to departments to achieve desired outcome in the necessary time period (Providing all necessary documents)
  • Responding speedily and correctly to stakeholder and client queries
  • Enable the team to pick up new clients, assisting them with cold calling, listen to calls, coach and mentor staff where necessary
  • Ensure that all advice given supports the Brand, limited reputational risk for the Brand


  • Updated FICA documents
  • Updated facility reviews

People Management

  • Manage execution know goal, how to achieve goal, kept accountable, keep score
  • Responsible for performance development
  • Responsible for talent management
  • Responsible for driving high performance culture
  • Coaching, mentoring, support and training
  • Perform a complete management and leadership function to ensure efficient delivery of services to clients,
  • Recruitment and selection of staff
  • Arrange relevant training where necessary, specialists who can train and assist e.g. manufacturers

Minimum Requirements/Non-netogiable 

  • Leadership experience ( within sales)
  • Merchant services experience
  • Sales management experience (extensive)
  • Relevant tertiary education
