A well established 5* Game Reserve in the North West Province (Zeerust area) is looking to employ a Senior Sous Chef on a permanent basis.

The successful candidates will have full responsibility for the preparation of assigned menus and assisting in the management of all kitchen operations at the lodge under the Head Chef, assuming complete responsibility for the Kitchen in the Head Chef's absence.  Management of the kitchen team in all four outlets.  Ensure efficient and effective supervision and management, producing quality food in a hygienic environment in line with the required standards

Key Focus Areas:

  • Preparation of food to the highest standards
  • Supervision, training, discipline, development and counselling of the kitchen staff
  • Effective guest interaction whilst hosting meal venues
  • Assist in menu planning
  • Strict portion and stock control to minimize shortages and wastage
