Main Purpose of the Job:

The ideal candidate for this role will be responsible for managing the SETA & legislative reporting requirements as well as Learnerships

Job Description:

Manage SETA legislation reporting requirements

  • Evaluate SETA funding opportunities and make recommendations on programmes to be implemented
  • Ensure that all SETA & legislative reporting requirements are met both in terms of content and deadlines
  • Submit accurate Workplace Skills Plans and Annual Training Reports to W&RSETA and BANKSETA
  • Ensure Skills Levies are recouped in line with the Skills Development Levies Act
  • Implement and monitor all recoverable grants and service fees in association with the Learnership program and ensure maximum recoverable grants are achieved as per the service level agreement with the relevant SETA’s


Learnership project management

  • Coordinate the Learnership project, partnering with business and the Talent teams to ensure successful implementation of the program
  • Design & monitor opportunities for future learnership programmes in alignment with business requirements
  • Monitor and continually review progress of learners as per the Learnership program ensuring that all milestones are met within the allocated timeframe
  • Liaise with the Talent Acquisition team where the learner selection process has not met the minimum number for FTE as planned, so that the Talent Acquisition team can respond accordingly
  • Ensure that the facilitators, assessors and moderators understand the scope of work and timeous delivery to ensure effective execution of the Learnership program
  • In conjunction with the moderator identify any training gaps and liaise with the Operations Talent Manager to agree and monitor all training mechanisms in response
  • Conduct regular feedback sessions with the moderators and proactively agree on mechanisms to ensure that the learners gain the skills and experience to successfully complete the NQF qualification
  • Liaise with the various Business Units to plan any additional training required that will result in off-phone activity during the Learnership


Reporting & analysis

  • Track and report on SETA related funding on a monthly basis
  • Monitor training spend and report on Skills development aspects for BBBEE reporting
  • Ensure that all data presented for tracking, reporting and analysis purposes are accurate so that we can utilize the information gained to make effective talent development decisions
  • Ensure that all daily, weekly, monthly trackers and reports are maintained and updated on a regular basis
  • Regularly report to the Ops Talent Manager on progress of the Learnership program
  • Monitor and report to the Talent Exec and Management team on the progress of the implementation plan


Stakeholder liaison

  • Manage the relationship between Services SETA, the company and any other training providers
  • Manage any SETA led initiatives as approved by the business including Learnerships, workplace skills opportunities and pivotal programmes
  • Communicate effectively with all internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on all skills development & learnerships to deliver elegant people solutions
  • Communicating Seta initiatives, grants and benefits to the employer
