R70.47 Per Hour

 

Main Purpose: To take charge of receiving and dispatching of all incoming and outgoing goods from stores or storage yards.

 

Key Performance Areas:

 

  • Lift, carry, unpack, load and unload supplies by hand or by using a forklift or front-end loader.

  • Check quantities of unpacked supplies against delivery notes and purchase orders.

  • Ensure all goods and hazardous chemicals are stored according to health and safety requirements.

  • Maintain equipment in a clean and serviceable condition in accordance with the recommended operating practices including the completion of a daily prestart safety check.

  • Maintain and clean store premises and depot yard.

  • Issue goods to personnel authorised by a completed Requisition / Reservation/ MIV.

  • Complete daily cycle counts and provide feedback to the Store Supervisor.

  • Communicate potential concerns and possible improvements in stores activities, services and procedures to the Store Supervisor.

  • Monitor inventory levels and ordering consumables from depot by way of reservation.

  • Manage the movement of equipment to and from main depot using the appropriate forms (see Logistics Guideline I.26.0005).

  • Manage the vehicle fleet according to the Logistics Guideline I.26.0005.

  • Actively participate in stock counts when required.

 

  • Any other job related duties as required from time to time.
