Our client, an International industrial printing and scanning equipment market leader, seeks to employ an energetic, well presented, go-getter with prior working experience in a highly target driven sales and product support environment, with preference either in the Imaging/Printing/Labelling or Packaging sector, having a tenacious selling character and a knowledge of networked systems.
The position does require vast cold calling, new business development and canvassing of potential new leads in the Gauteng region, therefore previous working experience in calling on manufacturing companies, factories and packaging plants, with a solid understanding of technology similar to the packaging, labelling and networked systems is essential but this role is NOT for the Office Automation sector, it is for a manufacturing company dealing in similar technology.
In addition, you must have completed Matric, have your own reliable transport, a valid drivers license, fluency in English and Afrikaans and advanced computer literacy for presentations and database/CRM management.
You must have business acumen, understand profit margins, be an expert negotiator and be able to work independently, draft your own presentations, quotations and estimations, as well as act as the main liaison between company and customer during installation and maintenance/service contracts.
